In the last legislative session, it was union members who worked to ensure high priority bills made it to the Governor’s desk and were signed like the Grow Your Own Teachers Act – creating a pathway and providing scholarships to educational assistants to become licensed teachers.

In the last legislative session, it was union members who succeeded in equalizing the probationary time of classified educational employees to that of other public sector employees because employers should invest in and commit to workers who are invested in and committed to their jobs.
